aka The Frazzled Mom
My cat is a unique creature…in that, he’s broken. But I love him.
When we first adopted him, he was so little and sick. He had been left in a cage outside, next to the rabbits. Rather than inside with the other felines. He seemed so laid back. Yep, this was the cat for us. We signed the paperwork to adopt him. They gave him some medication for his respiratory infection and then placed him in a cat carrier. Suddenly, the sweet, laid back kitten became a spastic cat. What on Earth did they give him?!
Ah, well. We kept him anyway. By two years of age, we discovered that he overproduces ear wax. Yes, my cat has excessive ear wax that requires me to keep them clean. If it gets out of hand, I need to medicate him.
Oh, then we found out that he has an obsessive compulsive disorder. In order to cope with the stress in his life (huh?!?), he licks his nipples. Sorry, this may be embarrassing for some, but that is what he does. He licks those areas on his belly so much that no fur will grow there anymore.
Yep, broken. But I love him.
One cool thing about him are his eyes. I couldn’t tell you their exact color because they seem to always be changing, depending on the time of day and lighting. They’ve been almost green, then turned gold. Check out the photo I took of him a few weeks ago. Because of the lighting in the room, his eye color is again different. I think it is the coolest feature and kind of makes up for his being broken.
Again, I love him.
