aka The Frazzled Mom
Some writing courses on Udemy go for $300 dollars. Literary agent, Sally Apokedak, is offering her course for only $10 dollars. For those writers out there that are like me and have a difficult time investing in ourselves, $10 is very little compared to other sites.
Seriously, this writing course was fun AND informative for me, personally. Not only did I receive great tips and feedback from Sally, but also from peers that were in the course as well.
Here’s what’s coming up, from Sally on the course website:
Happy November to you!
I would love to delve into voice more over the next couple of months. You’ve got all the basic building blocks of voice in this course, but I’d love to look more into how the words and sentences are strung together in different instances.
One place voice is really noticeable is in your descriptions. So let’s talk about description. Let’s make November “Voice in Description” month.
I really enjoyed this course.
Some of the lectures were things I’d been taught in High School. Do you know how long ago that was? I appreciated the reminders of things I’d forgotten. English grammar can be such a pain.
Sally has great information, examples to better understand her points and downloads to print out and refer to later. The class format allows for discussions and questions during any part of the course.
I highly recommend the class to my writer friends. You may think you know everything, but I’m telling you there’s probably something you’ve forgotten. What do you have to lose?
One of my favorite parts of the course was having the downloadable PDFs. It’s nice to have references handy, especially when I’m not “plugged in”. Sally is very approachable and responds quickly to questions or comments. It was a great experience.
This course is growing and growing. You can keep participating in activities and learning more and more. Now what college course would even do that for you?
