Memories…all of them, gone

Memories are so important.

When I was working on my parents’ computer, Windows decided to delete everything from the hard drive and put a fresh copy of the operating system on it. Every single picture was erased. Pictures of my parents on vacation, pictures of times spent with my kids. Everything. Gone in a matter of minutes.

I won’t lie. I cried. I freaked. I was upset. Why? Those recorded memories were just…gone.

After calming down, and working with recovery software, I managed to salvage a majority of the pictures and I was relieved. Those memories, ghosts of the past, are important to me. In that moment where I’d lost everything, it crushed me. This video reminded me of that…of how important it is for me to keep those memories safe.
