aka The Frazzled Mom
That would be me.
I’m a brown thumb. I’ll admit it. I’ve said it before. Plants fear me.
But thanks to the Internet, I have a plethora of resources at my fingertips.
That said, the other day, after transplanting my tomato plants and tending to my happy fruit trees, I noticed a rather larger (largest I’ve seen) caterpillar. I was a little excited. First off, his camouflage was awesome. I hadn’t noticed him until after I’d moved the plant. So that says something for how tightly he held on.
In another area of my yard, I have milkweed growing, so I was really thinking this was one, ready to begin the transformation to a beautiful butterfly. I quickly led my husband to the spot and proudly pointed.
“Look at this guy, he’s huge!”
To which my husband said, “Get rid of it! You don’t want that. It’s a tomato worm! It’ll it the entire plant.”
*sigh* And here I was like, Go ahead little fella. You get comfy there on my tomato plant.
