aka The Frazzled Mom
At first, I thought this book was like other devotionals: equipped with one paragraph or two of some inspirational superhero themed story followed by a prayer and a Bible verse. As I read through the pages, I quickly realized that I was wrong. The Superheroes Devotional takes a closer look at the comicbook heroes we’ve read or seen in movies. Taking more support from film, the author focuses on each character, one at a time. And through each of their stories, whether origin or otherwise, he’s found ways to pull out what lessons we can learn and how those lessons can already be found in the Bible.
Blending his love of comicbooks and the Bible, the author hopes to share his passion with others. This would be a good read for Middle School through High School and above. It isn’t just an inspiring little story with some scripture. It is an all together unique devotional book. Honestly, it’s just nice to have a book that focuses on the good and bad that these written heroes experience and how that, on a basic level, might apply to us.
