aka The Frazzled Mom
At our previous residence, the next door neighbor had two Black Labrador Retrievers that would bark…a lot. When he replaced the gate to the backyard, he chose a design that incorporated openings for their heads to poke through. I guess it was a means to give the dogs something to look at and, maybe, keep them from barking if they saw what was making noise. Ha!
The only problem was, he had one “sausage” dog and a more, “trim” dog. So the hole for the sausage dog allowed for only the head to poke through, while the other dog could squeeze her body and get out. We had her visit once or twice, sitting at our door and looking a bit confused. After phone calls to the county, we discovered who she was and returned her. It wasn’t until the second escape that they realized she could squeeze through. Poor sausage dog was left alone in the backyard while his companion went on an adventure.
The gates below might have been a better choice for them. Either way, it cracks me up and would have been hilarious to see.
