Snakes. Why Did It Have To Be Flying Undulating Snakes

undulate – move with a smooth wavelike motion.

When I hear “undulate” I immediately think of rays. The smooth fluid like motion can be mesmerizing to watch.

My friend thought of snakes. So I did a little searching and found this cool little guy: the Paradise Snake, found in SouthEastern Asian. Indiana Jones would not be thrilled. “Snakes…why did it have to be flying undulating snakes…” Seriously, flying (or rather parachuting) snakes? Another reason to not visit that side of the planet. 🙂

I’d actually read that trainers are using the term “undulate” in diet and exercise, meaning they recommend clients alternate high caloric days with low ones, or strong strength training days with low to moderate workouts, in an effort to trick the body and prevent it (and the metabolism) from adapting and adjusting. When the body adjusts, weight loss becomes temporary and eventually, the weight comes back. By undulating food intake and workout routines, the idea is to avoid that adaption that would eventually slow down or plateau any weight loss. Does this work? I’m curious to hear from others if they’ve tried it.
