30 Days of Thanksgiving, Day 4
Today’s word is cozy.
I think I love winter the most because that’s my chance to get cozy. Warm blankets, hot tea or coffee, a warm bowl of soup and sitting next to a warm fire. Coming in from the cold, these cozy things are made all the better.
One of my favorite things is Splash’s clam chowder. Not only does it taste great, but it is definitely cozy with a hint of nostalgia. There’s nothing like dipping a warm piece of sourdough into the chowder while enjoying the view and crisp ocean breeze.
Cozy to me is also a warm fire on a cool day. Whether at a campsite near the beach or in the mountains, I love a nice fire. It reminds me of family get togethers and of course, s’mores.
I’m so grateful for cozy things. Being warm during a snow fall allows me to appreciate the snow. Otherwise, I’d be complaining about the cold and not being able to feel my feet. LOL. Wrapped in a hoodie while sitting at the beach, I can appreciate the ocean views, the sound of the crash waves lulling me to sleep.
